Recently got my new samsung SSD and planned on installing windows, steam and a few games on it, i tried to install it and sucseeded for a while but then, it would not boot stright to windows, it would appear with a black screen and options to pick
Windows 7 or
Windows 7
whenever i pick the first option it comes up with an error code(will add it when i am back at my pc) and then say the boot drive is not accesible after this if i boot to the BIOS and change no settings it will boot fine as normal.
That is problem No1.

Second problem

I wish to format my other HHD in the system so both drives are fresh, how would i have some programs on my SSD such as games/steam and others on my HHD such as teamspeak/paint.

My overall goals are to format both drives, reinstall windows on my SSD and use my HDD to store things that dont require the speed of a SSD or that i dont use often.

If someone could make or link a good guide i will be gratefull if any other information is needed just ask

SSD:samsung evo 120gb
HDD:1TB Seagate barricuda
OS:Windows 7 pro

Your first issue, the 2 Windows 7 options, is almost certainly because you installed on the SSD while the HDD was still connected. Windows puts the System Reserved partition (boot info) on a second drive if it finds one.
Since it was already there from the old install, it just added a new choice.
1 of those choices is the original install, the other for the new install on the SSD.

If you were to disconnect the HDD right now, you'll get no boot at all...:(

So, if you want to start over:

Save any critical data elsewhere.
Have only the SSD connected.
Install the OS on the SDD
Once installed, check your boot options and verify the SSD is first in the boot order
Now you can connect the HDD
Go into Disk Management, and wipe all partitions...

Go into Disk Management, and wipe all partitions on that HDD
Now you can install applications where you choose. Some/most/all on the SSD, some on the HDD.

Also, see these for other files that do not to live on the SSD:
