I'm completely new to pc gaming and I have done research but I'm still scared to attempt any building or even buying :( I guess my question is where should I begin? Because I do really wanna build a gaming pc.
600$
Need monitor and os
I would be using it for gaming all around all genres, and things like watching YouTube and internet surfing. That's about it.

Check out some of the builds here. It is probably one of your best bets since it will help you pick out parts as well as compatibility issues. The guys in the forums are great too.

Firstly if you already own a desktop PC that is fairly recent I would consider looking at parts and peripherals you may be able to re-use. Things such as RAM, HDD's, Optical drives, the case, spare OS keys can all be quite easily reused and save you some money. I would then consider the budget you are willing to spend on your build and then people on here will be able to give you some advice on either complete systems or specific parts that will fit your budget.

As for building the PC itself, it really isn't too difficult. It requires a bit of time, maybe 2 to 3 hours in total. Most of it is just mounting parts into the case or onto the motherboard and plugging them into the power supply. Essentially all cases and motherboards will come with detailed instruction booklets detailing the specifics of their installation. You can also watch tutorial videos on the internet which will show you either complete system builds or how to install specific parts. There is also a detailed forum post about it here on Toms Hardware.

I agree that PCs are crazy easy to build for the most part. It is probably why so many people try to open their own computer shop since the job is super easy and most people are too scared to try it by themselves... lol.

The only cases I've personally ran into that took a while to do were super small builds, custom water cooling systems, and drastic case mods.
