Hello,

I bought a new laptop and it seemed pretty slow for its specs.
i7,8gb ram and 5400rpm(yeh even for 5400rpm hd it feels pretty slow).
I format it and downgrade from windows 8.1 to 7 and it still felt slow..

After testing the hard disk with HDtune i found that interface CRC error count data number is pretty big... and each time i click the update button its getting bigger.. Could that "error" slow down my laptop ? Can i do any further tests?

Thank you

**EDIT**

Are those low spikes normal ?

The Write Error Rate raw value looks suspicious, but I don't know whether it reflects actual errors. I would try to compare it against similar models with the same firmware version.

The CRC Error Count looks problematic, though. If there is a way to reduce the SATA link rate (eg jumper, Toshiba utility), then I would try that.

The read benchmark graph would be worth looking at.
