Would someone please tell me if it is compatible with my motherboard and the RAM I have. Also is running 4x4GB sticks of RAM ok or am I better off running 2x8GB sticks? Thank you very much.

2x8GB is far better on any rig - less stress on the MC (memory controller) which is particularly good w/ AMD that have a weaker MC. Also, no guarantees the two sets of 2x4GB will play nice together. Even if you bought a matching set of the same exact model you already have there would be no guarantees

Hello,

The RAM which you are looking at is compatible and the specs are also spot on. They should work just fine.

2 x 8GB vs 4 x 4GB - I'd chose the former vs the latter. Firstly, you will have more slots for future upgrades and you will have to ditch only two modules rather four. Secondly, the memory will be causing less stress to the CPU which is handy in the long run. Moreover, your system will still run at Dual channel so I don't see why you have to go with 4 x 4GB rather than the 2 x 8GB combo.

Hope that answers all your questions.

As for the CPU I am currently running a FX-8320 OC to 4ghz. As for 4x4GB, I am currently running 2x4GB for 8GB of RAM. So I currently have 2 free slots now, Also cost is why I was looking at just getting 2x4GB. Since It is about 60 bucks cheaper. And since it is 60bucks cheaper it can go to my GTX 980 upgrade. But other wise is the 4x4GB going to be a bottle neck? if so I'll spend the extra for 2x8GB.
