Hello

Thanks for everyone's help who gave me advice about the I7 4790k and the FX8350.

My last questions are,

I did research and found that the i7 4790k is about 57 percent faster than the FX8350 in real world benchmarks in single and dual core processing. About 40-30 percent faster in multiprocessing.

I am moving up from. Q6600 system and even the FX8350 blows that away between 50-80 percent in all processes.

So for me even the FX8350 is going to be a big improvement.

I have a h100i that bought for cooling.

The i7 build is going to cost me a extra 150 dollars.

Wouldnt worry so much but now discovering I will have to replace my psu. My old one is showing signs of dying and it's been used constantly for 12 hours a day for 60 percent of the time of the 4 years I've owned it.
So that's another cost.

I could take back the h100i cooler and get a cheaper air cooler.

Also I will need to upgrade my gpu and go with a professional monitor or get a 2nd 24in IPS monitor and start buying the software I need.

Getting the Intel will push me back about 2 weeks to a month for everything. Each month I buy something.

So is it that big of a difference for me at this point to go Intel vs AMD when I am moving up from a old q6600 and either system will be better for me?
