8gb or 16gb Ram

Hello, I am looking for a new laptop and I liked the model dell inspiron 3543. It runs on core i7 5th gen, 8gb ram, 2gb (NVidia G840) graphics. However, the ram is not upgradable(acc. to the seller, there is only one slot). So is it future proof?. I am a mobile devleloper, I use IDEs and emulators.
I would like it to last atleast 2-3 years. Please help.Thanks !

It will work for 2-3 years easily. ... After it you will need to upgrade the GPU. ... 8 GB ram is more than sufficient for gaming amd all other purposes. ... i7 5th gen is really good cpu. ... Get a k version cpu as you can overclock it in future to increase some performance. ... Great laptop. ... Get that. ... :)
