Best GPU For AMD Phenom II x4 945

I know the AMD Phenom II x4 945 is an older CPU, but it is all I have to work with. I'm on a relatively low budget but I was just wondering what the best graphics card would be for this CPU. Also, I will need to upgrade the power supple to go along with the GPU so any recommendations are appreciated! Budget aside, please give me any and all suggested cards that would pair nicely with this CPU. I am hoping for 30+ FPS on at least Medium settings for most games. Thanks!

The R7 260x is roughly equivalent in performance, so if you prefer Radeon, get that. The HD 7750 (now known as the r7 250) is a bit weaker but still ok for pushing 1600x900. Make sure the card is GDDR5 since there are some variants using GDDR3 and it will suck!

I am willing to upgrade the power supply since I do not trust the one I have. What card would you recommend with a new PSU?

Roughly $100 for the GPU and whatever for the PSU that card needs. I just want the best match for my CPU so as not to bottleneck. Also I will be gaming on a 1600x900 resolution.

I had been reading about the Radeon HD 7770 and the R7 260x. Would you recommend the 750 Ti over either of those? And what PSU would you recommend? By the way, thanks for the speedy response!

You should be able to buy a 500-650W PSU at less than 70 bucks, with a Bronze rating. Shouldn't be hard to find. Stick with the 700 series gpus. I just came from that CPU, worked great with my 460. 660ti was good with it as well.

What kind of FPS and settings could I expect with the 750 Ti? The most demanding game I play is DayZ Standalone.

I'm mostly a console player (hence the crappy PC), so 30 FPS is fine by me haha. Thanks a bunch!
