Ok so my question is IN DETAIL. Is that i am selling my computer soon, and instead of wiping it(because im lazy and don't have time to), i have just gone and brought another harddrive the same model but instead of 500GB, ive got 1TB. NOW as mentioned, do i just boot it up and follow the same steps as when you first boot up your newly built PC? or is completely different. PLEASE HELP

hopefully this makes sense.

update: after i take out the old HD and then replace it with the new one, and then install all the stuff. I can be certain that i won't find bits of information or files from the old hard drive that have somehow made its way onto the new one? So basically im saying this HD will be empty and only contain the files ive installed. even when i search on CMD or RUN and search the registry and stuff like that, there will be nothing but only the files installed onto the new HD?

I APOLOGIZE IF THIS SOUNDS CONFUSING. But i just have so many questions about doing this. And plus i don't want my confidential information such as bank cards, making its way somehow onto the new HD and then the new owner being like, 'Oh whats this, i might use this'. :(

Hi phillip. So what i take from your answer, is that i pretty much do the same as when u first boot the computer up? So like install the bios, format the harddrive then load the OS, and voila its ready to be used?
