So, I've been trying to port forward my DVR security feed for the longest time. I finally just got it to show up when connected to the same network, but how do I make it connect on a different network. I opened up its mobile port 18004.
DVR: Defender Sentinel

On the same network (LAN) no port forwarding should be required. To access your device from the internet you need to setup a DDNS (Dynamic DNS) name so that you have a name to use when accessing it. Cellphones (with WIFI turned off) are great tools to use for testing since you are guaranteed to be accessing from the internet rather than the local LAN.

I've tried with No-ip.. when enteriing the info into my DVR it always says unknown error. Is my username and password for the DVR the same as what I use to login into the No-ip site?

You would use the username/password you created a No-IP in the DDNS screens of the DVR. Is NO-IP.com one of the DDNS providers that is listed as supported by the DVR? Some hardware only supports some DDNS providers.

Yes, No-ip.com is listed on there, and I use the same login credentials that I provided for No-ip.

Yes, you should only need one or the other. I assume you have verified, by ping that the URL you are attempting is correct.
