Assuming you "recycled" your previous Windows installation, I suspect this is an issue with the SATA mode in your BIOS. Does the system power up and then enter a shutdown loop when trying to start Windows?

If so, access your BIOS and change the SATA mode to IDE and try again.

Keep in mind that you may be using a Gateway OEM version of Windows. Transferring an OEM lcense of Windows to a non-OEM motherboard can be an issue and MS may not allow you to activate the OS with the new hardware.
