Recording Minecraft with Dxtory or Fraps

Hi, I am trying to records some Minecraft gameplay however I am encountering some issues.

I use Dxtory to record everything I play however with Minecraft I am experiencing massive FPS drop when recording so this makes it unusable.

I switched to Fraps for recording Minecraft and everything worked great, or so I thought. Basically there were some issues with the audio that I could easily fix if I was able to extract the audio streams like I would in Dxtory however Fraps seems to record everything onto one audio stream making this impossible.

Basically I wanted to know if anyone could help me either get Dxtory working properly with Minecraft or figure out a way to get Fraps to records on separate audio streams so I can choose to extract them into separate audio files.

Computer Specs
Windows 8.1 Pro x64
ASRock 970 Extreme4
AMD FX 6300 Six-Core Processor 4.0GHz w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
8GB RAM
XFX AMD Radeon HD7870 2GB Double Dissipation Edition
2x 1 TB HDD

Any help would be much appreciated :)
Thanks,

Dxtory should have audio misalignment and Fraps should have fps drops... not really sure where you're going wrong here. You could try using something like audacity for the audio, record with both at the same time, and then implement the audacity audio after removing Fraps audio.

I am hoping I can find away to get Dxtory working to be honest, I have found it to be the best capture software so far.

I am aware I could use audacity but that just adds a little extra work (I know not much but I'm a lazy bastard haha), If it comes down to it that will probably be the way I have to do it but hopefully someone knows why I'm getting low FPS through Dxtory.

Well, if you're looking for people here to troubleshoot Dxtory, there will be a lot of info we (I) need... your settings in the recording, your game settings, Nvidia settings (especially with DSR and other parameters being possible), HDD speed, other programs running during recording... possibly more, but all I can think of now.

Apologies for the late reply, I recently purchased a SSD and decided to format my PC and start a fresh. I will update on this thread as to whether everything is now working or if i am still encountering issues.

Thanks for your help so far :)
