i would like to build a decent desktop gaming computer under $500 with windows 7 and am looking for any input

i have never assembled a computer before but am not opposed to trying as i would like to learn how to and if anything else is required to build it

would also be interested in a computer that is pre built under this price with alot of room for future upgrades

thanks in advance

Solution
This is a great build for around 500:
It is also an ITX, so if space is a concern, no problemo.
I would personally build this if I had 500 and wanted to game.

How about this? Windows 8 is pretty good as long as you use something like classic start to get the start menu back.

i would really prefer the windows 7 if it could be used instead as i runs some programs and classic games that require windows 7 and will not play on my windows 8 computer

Even with compatibility mode? OK, how about the OEM license for home premium instead?
