Sorry i meant to write i was adding 2 of the 4 gig cards, but you would still recommend me changing them, i was looking at 2 Corsair 4GB 1600Mhz Vengeance as a replacement

In gaming, 1600 mhz and 1866mhz will perform the same. Also you want to make sure the CAS (latency) is 8 or 9 when buying either 1600mhz or 1866mhz ram. If you can save money by going with 1600mhz do so.

Also that power supply is pretty bad for gaming. Please pick 80 + bronze or higher from the brands I recommended earlier.

Ok I also changed the power supply to a EVGA 600w / 12cm 80Plus Bronze 600B

No, that is incorrect. You will be fine with 600-650 watts psu for r9 290x. I would recommend 650watts as its the most safest.I looked into the website, they have horrible power supply units, no wonder they are recommending 1000 watts to save their own asses.

Cant you use amazon, ebay or newegg from there?

80 + bronze and 650 watts from Xfx, antec, seasonic and evga is the safest choice.
