Hello!
My pc has begun turning off by itself sometimes. Often when I play games - even games like League of Legends which doesn't require that much.. But sometimes while doing nothing too..
I am sure it's not heat-related - but I think it might be the PSU.

When the PC shut down - nothing happens when I push the power button. If i hit the switch (wall plug), and turn it back on again, the LEDs and fans turns on for half a second - then everything turns back off again. Sometimes it just keep doing this for a long time, until it suddently turn on and start booting (and sometimes it then shuts off again when booted).

Any ideas? There's no dust in the computer. Only thing getting "hot" is actually the secondary HDD, reaching about maybe 60 Degree Celcius (only felt it with my hand).

My setup is:
AMD FX 8320, 3,6GHz, with -> ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2
8 GB Corsair RAM
XFX 7870, slightly OC (running at normal speed doesn't help)
Corsair GS 700W PSU
Kingston SSD for OS / Samsung HDD for storage.

Solution

I found the cause of this. The ATX-power cable to the mobo had a loose connection. Touching it caused the pc to shutdown (tested it a few times). Problem is now solved with a bit of violence, and I hope this won't ever happen again ;)

So, yea - we can say it was the PSU ;) Thanks, Alexoiu.

I must admit I didn't know that. I thought: Corsair, bronze 80+´bla bla bla, 700W, 2 power cables for GPU, Excellent choice! :D Well... Now I know. :)
