Hey there, i have and r7 240 as a gpu and an x4 750k black edition as a graphics card, my budget for the gpu could go up to 220 euros, and for the processor could be around 300 or 250. I want to know which one I should upgrade now, as I can only upgrade one. The games I will play among many of the new 2015 games are Tom Clancy's The Division, Star Wars battlefront, batman arkham knight, Rainbow six siege and No Man's Sky. Please tell me the exact names and if possible links, VERY URGENT.

Thanks

The R9 280 is a good choice. Also consider the GTX 960, which is a bit more at about $210. Also the R9 285 may also be a nice option versus the 280, though the good 285s like the Sapphire Dual-X will cost you closer to $250. A lesser 285 might cost you $230. I'd actually recommend the GTX 960 and R9 285 over the R9 280because they are both GPUs which have been engineered for efficiency - they are meant to use new technologies to be more efficient through things like a narrower bus. The R9 285 uses a 256-bit bus and the 960 uses a 128-bit bus, whereas the R9 280 uses a 384-bit bus. So your CPU might be able to run them better.

The Sapphire 285 Dual-X (link: http://www.newegg.com/global/nl/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202127&cm_re=r9_285-_-14-202-127-_-Product) almost perfectly fits your budget and Star Wars Battlefront will use Frostbite 3, which is a game engine which is one of AMD's most powerful allies. That is, it has Mantle, which is a super API which will allow AMD cards to run the game even better than expected

My rig is as follow:
X4-B55 4GHz
7950 boost
500W FSP psu
deepcool iceedge 300 heatsink
240Gb ssd PNY
2x4Gb DDR3-1600 CL9

My personal experience is that the cpu already bottlenecking the 7950 (R9-280). So unless you thinking buying the cpu and motherboard in the very near future, I would not recomended a gpu above 7950. R9-280 will be your best choice since:
1. Its cheap now
2. You don't seem to have the budget in the near future for the new cpu and motherboard, otherwise why the partly upgrade
3. Your cpu is not that crappy to be needed to change immediately. Our 4 core can still hold up for at least 1 more year though I admit 7950 will be its last partner to work with.
4. You will also have to consider the power supply you use. It needed at least 500W pure for my system to work. So if yours not 500W, then you will need to buy the powersupply, AKA more purchases. With your 220 euros budget, its barely enough for R9-280 and a 500W pure powersupply (why 300 euros for cpu and 220 euros on gpu, its just wrong, gpu should be the most expensive parts in gaming build).

Hope this help
