I haven't built a new rig in a couple years and was wondering if anyone can see any potential problems with this build. Particularly regarding RAM + Sabertooth? I don't plan on doing any extreme OC with this build, but I do want a solid, stable machine that I can upgrade in the future (SLI, more RAM, etc.) Component recommendations are welcome, as I have a tiny bit of wiggle room on the cost.

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition 125W
Phanteks PH-TC12DX Cooler
EVGA SuperNOVA 850G2 80PLUS Gold

MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G
Transcend Information 128 GB SATA III SSD TS128GSSD370
WD Blue Desktop Hard Drive 1TB, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/sec
Corsair Obsidian Series 750D

Thanks for your time!

All of your components are really high quality, that only possible problem I can see is if you ever want to upgrade the processor the AM3+ socket is on the way out so don't expect any better processors to be made for it in the future.
Also if you are just doing gaming and no heavily threaded tasks like video editing the i5 4460 processor is a better choice at the same price, even with overclocking the 8350.

I'm not convinced that the 4460 is a better choice, really. The 8350's and 8370's beat it in a lot of benchmarks. Also the Intel is locked, which is another negative toward it. Add in the additional cost of getting a halfway decent Intel motherboard and you end up paying quite a bit more. It's the main reason I have avoided Intel's overpriced hardware for years.

Nah! Not a fanboy either way, really :) I'm more of a bang for the buck type. I've done some more investigation and decided to shell out a few more bucks for the i5-4690K, because I know that the itch to overclock a little will eventually get to me.

The toughest part was finding a good motherboard that didn't cost an arm and a leg!
