Are there any new computer mice coming out? I'm looking for a high-quality mouse!

I've been doing a lot of research and testing for the past couple months. As a proud owner of a Razer Naga 2012 (the original), I've been spoiled by these extra buttons. They have become a necessity for me in games, programs, and editing software.

The thing is, my Naga is old, and despite how much I love what it does, it feels childish and outdated. I'm looking for something that has at-least some extra buttons, maybe not all twelve, but enough to keep me going. It has to be a high build quality (I like the brushed aluminum style, heavier mice).

So what I've figured out on my own so far:

1. There's actually not much competition in the high-end mouse market. You have the cheap mice that are imitations or for people on an extreme budget. They look like they were manufactured beside hot-wheels in a Chinese factory. You have the 'middle class' bracket of mice, that are essentially just normal mice with the exception of a few extra buttons, but they usually comprised of plastic and they don't really look professional (Anything Razer, Tte-sports, Logitech, etc...) Then you have the high-ends, like the Razer Naga Epic Chroma, or the Corsair Vengeance series, or the expensive Logitech mice. Keep in mind these are just examples and opinions, I know you might think otherwise.

2. Almost all the expensive mice are aimed at a gamer market, so they all look like they are aimed at a gamer market. Corsair had a great thing going for them, (in my opinion) the gamer logo ruined it for them, and they lost me as a customer.

3. The people developing these mice seem to think that the more outlandish they look, the more they are worth.

If razer took a mouse from the 80's (good ol' creme color) popped a nice laser in there, added some buttons to the side, and branded it with a black logo... I'd buy that.

So what have you guys found in your research or purchase history, are these all the mice out there? Am I missing something? Will there be a new influx of mice in 2015?

Please let me know, and thank you!

After I wore the feet off my logitech basic 3 button, I tried a gigabyte and it wasn't long before the left click died on it. I think it was an m6900 or similar, don't remember the model number exactly - was around $45 at the time. When it came time to replace that one I happened to find a good deal on an a4tech vtrack f4. I think it was like $17 on sale so figured what's the worst that could happen. It's been one of the best mice I've used. Came with a weight set which helped make it feel less cheapy and more mass to it. So far it's held up for a good 18-24mo. Wish I would have bought two back when they were so cheap. Impressive for a little known branded mouse. Looks like the grip is similar to the Sensei, wider at the top and...
I prefer the Steelseries Sensei over any other mouse, over the Mamba, Naga, Thermaltake, Corsair mice everything.

But since you asked there is a ROCCAT Nyth coming out

Logitech also have a G302 and G502 I believe. They look very TRON-like

But I haven't used em yet

Razer hasn't made anything new since 2012 they are just airbrushing their look and sensor so nothing exciting there.

I see you have done your research but I am curious why you don't just try a Steelseries product?

I never thought much of the Sensei in fact I was a Razer die hard until I held one. They are just really natural in your palm.

That sensei looks nice too. I recently got one of their qck mousepads and am pretty happy with it. Basic design and looks but good quality (which is my preference).
