Greetings,I have tried to find does GPU overclocking really reduce it's lifespan if voltage isn't raised, and temperature stays normal.I found mixed answers so I am posting the question here.I am going to get HD 7850,then plan to overclock it to 1050/1250 at least(people got it to 1200/1400 winouth voltage increase).Card is very cool, around 60C max load. Thanks in advance.

the lifespan of a video card will be reduced when the temperature rises so even when it increases 1 C` it will reduce its lifespan but i wouldnt worry about it , just check the temp when gaming with msi afterburner and check if the temp is alright 50-65C is alright amd cards throttle at a even higher temp so i would worry about.
(btw the hd 7850 is a great card also used it dint OC it because of the to low wattage )

well no but frequency increases temp and temps reduce the lifespan of the card same goes for the voltage.
so no the lifespan will not be reduced if the cards frequency is overclocked only if the temps change and changing the frequency does that but with a good cooler you wont notice a big difference so if you want to overclock your card search for a good brand for it for yor hd7850 sapphire is the best msi would also do it but sapphire is better.
i had my sapphire hd 7850 1 gb card for 4 years before it died and that was not through temp.
