So recently I bought Rome Total War 2 Emperor's Edition and currently I have all details to the lowest possible settings however unfortunately I still suffer lag. Hence I would like to play the game smoothly and with slightly better graphics however as I am new to upgrading computers I would appreciate some tips regarding whether this is possible, what is required and what graphics cards are actually compatible.

My computer is a HP Elitebook 6930p incuding:

Intel Core Duo 2 Processor CPU P8400 @ 2.26Ghz (2 CPUs)
4096MB Ram
Windows 7
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series
Chip type: ATI Display Adapter

I would greatly appreciate any tips/feedback and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Andrew

As BBradley stated...you have a business class laptop with a basic GPU chip which according to notebookcheck.com website says that this wasn't built for games and 3D applications and you cannot upgrade the GPU. You should acquire a desktop around 400-500 dollars with a discrete GPU that will play that game, and others with a minimum 30FPS.
