Since I have been looking for hours, I doubt that i could use it for anything but the dvd drive or a secondary storage unit.
But, I thought I would try to ask before giving up.
I'm just curious as to whether or not I would be able to use my laptop's slimline sata port (unused optical drive) for something other than the intended or suggest use of more storage.
My laptop only has 2 usb ports and 1 pcie slot, so either of those would be a huge benefit. though laptops are not really upgrade-able, it's worth a shot to ask a dumb question like this.
