AsRock Extreme4 Z77 MOBO is slow to connect to my network?

My build has the AsRock Extreme4 Z77 MOBO in it, and initially I had to use a wireless network adapter to use the internet because the room where I built my PC had no direct connectivity to the router, whenever I turned my PC on and logged in, I would connect to the WiFi immediately, this is when I still had AsRock's FastLAN Utility. But I read online that the utility can cause problems, so I uninstalled it. Then whenever I turned my PC on, it would display that there are no connections available, but after about 2 minutes or so it would automatically connect to my home network. I then moved my PC into my room, and used an Ethernet cable to replace the wireless adapter, when I plugged the cable directly into my MOBO, it would never detect a connection to my network, no matter how long I waited, so I had to use a LAN card that my dad had, after that was put onto my MOBO, a similar scenario would arise, it would display no connectivity then after about 2 minutes it would connect to my home network. After I connect, my speeds don't seem to be slow or anything, but the wait is kind of an annoyance, I would greatly appreciate any help, thank you.

Hello, yes I do have the latest BIOS. And yes I have the most recent LAN driver as well. And no I didn't try another cable because it gained functionality after the LAN card was put on the board, so I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the cable's fault, And yes, my brother's PC connected just fine.
Any tips?
