I recently built my first PC, expecting not to take it out of the house very much. However, I've started going to lan parties more often now, and if the host doesn't happen to have some CAT5 extension cables lying around, i'm sorta screwed, watching sadly as everyone else with internet has fun. I don't really know anything about wireless cards, but I need something that goes into a PCI slot so I don't lose it, and something that will work on many different routers, hence the lan parties. I'd also like it to be under 40 or 50$. I also won't be using this all the time, only at lan parties, as I have wired internet at home.
