What is making my PC turn off by itself?

So today my new build computer didn't turn on properly, whenever it gets turned on by unplugging and replugging the power cord (the button doesn't work) it turns itself off instantly after a few seconds. I opened the case and looked for any problems but everything looked fine. I started to wiggle the cables around one at a time to see if it was loose cable and all cables were good except the 24 pin power plug which after I moved made the PC run a few seconds longer. After few minutes I discovered that the PC runs perfectly fine if I hold the 24 pin plug outwards and slightly pulling it backwards but as soon as I let it go it turns off again.

I've had the PC working great for a few weeks now and I cleaned it yesterday so I might have bumped the area but surely a bump wouldn't have caused this much trouble. I'm not really worried about a faulty part as I have warranty on everything, it's just annoying.

So I know that the problem is where the 24 pin socket is, nothing is blocking it and it fits in fine (although after some effort as it took a lot of force to clip in properly at first)
Basically, I'm not sure if it's the power supply or the motherboard responsible, is there a way to check or know for sure? And should I try to fix it further somehow or just get a new part?

Any help is appreciated :)
