Hello

I know auto overclocking is frowned upon but I went ahead and set my Asus M5A97 Rev.2.0 motherboard to asus optimal mode. This put my FX 8350 to 4.3Ghz and the volts didnt really change much.

However, I notice that my RAM is set to 1151Mhz or something weird like that (reads 577.9 in cpuz) and the timings are 11.11.11.28. My RAM is Kingston Hyper Fury 1866.

So my question is, is it safe to raise my memory frequency closer to the stock speed and also the timings to their default? Or should I leave it how it is for I don't know, stability and safety?

Any help appreciated.

Solution
Set it to the default, My mobo always under-clocks my my memory, had the same thing happen on a amd apu build too, Just set it to stock, shouldn't have any issues at all.
