WD red or black? in relation to the speed 5400 / 7200

Solution
Hi there Peanut2013uk,

It really depends on what the purpose of the drive will be(gaming, storing stuff, etc.)
WD Reds are designed to be used in NAS systems and RAID environment. If this is not the case and you decide to go with WD, I would say that WD Black will be the better option.
Apart from that, as long as the drive has 7200 RPMs, you will not really notice any performance difference.

purely for gaming, and to compliment my new SSD :)

As you need it for gaming purposes, WD Black will do as it is performance oriented.
Keep in mind that even though it is 7200 RPMs, SSDs are considerably faster than HDDs. So, it may be a good idea to install the heaviest games/programs on the SSD.
