Hi guys, I'm looking at building a new pc capable of running shadow of mordor, elite, planetary annihilation etc on as high settings as possible for under 600 quid including os.

Obviously, I know I'm not going to get something capable of ultra on mordor on this budget, but the closer the better.

I've always been an Intel guy but am quite willing to make the move to amd for the cpu if it would be better (though from what I've researched, the general consensus seems to favour Intel)

I would also prefer to stick with amd for the gpu unless there's a particularly compelling reason to switch to nvidia.

Form factor wise, I like the idea of a micro atx from a case size perspective but I'm not sure if it's wise from a cooling perspective so any input on that would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I put one intel PC, the budget is £8 over £600. And you need use the USB to install the OS, because I don't add the dvd drive.

That power supply gives you options down the line and with the Mobo and case being ATX you could drop a second 280x in there down the line.

Im a bit of an AMD fan tho so im sure others will destroy this build

Well, that does look like a sexy system! Bit over budget for me considering lack of os (and I'm already pushing my luck with the missus by going to 600 lol) but 8 cores sure is tempting! And yeah, that hdd is suspiciously cheap! (though it's showing as £14.94 not £9.99 for me weirdly)
