how to change password

You have to login to the router (usually 192.168.1.1) and do it through the routers settings. If you don't know the password to login to change it then you have to factory reset the router (small button on back usually held with a pen for a minute to reset).

Some routers now come with a pre-configured password, that is printed on a sticker somewhere on the router that it goes to by default.
