I have just purchased a bigger case, so i can fit my new gtx 980 which i am trying to sli together with gtx 680. Can you please give me some tips on how many sli bridges and power i need, i have 750W PSU.
No he isn't wrong... He is not talking about SLI'ing at all... and what he is suggesting will only give maybe 1-2% better performance in games, its pretty much a complete waste of power, and it generates more heat. Just sell the GTX 680.
although you cant sli a 980 and 680 together you can still have them both in your system running the primary gaming monitor off the 980 and 2-3 monitors on the 680. This will give you the best performance for gaming on a single monitor while being able to offload the physx and 2-3 monitors to the 680.
you could use the gtx 680 as a physx card... but i wouldn't recommend it you will see very little gains and up your power use / heat to much... Best option is to just sell the GTX 680.
