For my first PC, I'm getting my graphics card pretty soon. I want the GTX 960, but for the games I will be playing (Battlefield 4,Hardline, Dragon Age Inquisition, etc) I'm thinking of the R9 280x. The whole Mantle idea has got me thinking in so many ways, but the 960 beats the 280x in quite a few categories, and the R9 280x works vice-versa. I. I want to play at High-Ultra at about 50+ fps, at 1080p. I'm already have an AMD CPU,(FX-8350) and I'm getting 4GBx2 RAM@1866 (DDR3) If there's anything else you want to know, please ask. Thanks for answering!

I would go with the 280x unless you want to use something like G-Sync, where Nvidia is your only option. Plus, the 280x has more VRAM, which could definitely help with some of the games you would be playing, unless you were playing on a lower resolution like 1280x720.

What about a 270x? If it'll be better than the 960 in these games, and still around the same $210 dollar price point, I'll take it.
