Okay so need a bit of help, I just finished building my new computer, I have assembled all the parts and tried booting windows 7 from the cd drive but it said there are no drivers available and when I checked the BIOS the hard drive isn't being detected through any of the SATA ports, tried changing the wires but nothing works. I am using an msi z87 g55 motherboard and a seagate 1TB hard drive..

Solution
I will be making a tutorial on how to wipe a hdd. Can you wait for an hour or 2? I am at school right now. If you cant wait, google how to wipe an HDD using DBAN.

Okay so after finishing the build first thing I did was go into the BIOS and notices that only the cd/dvd drive was showing as connected into one of the sata ports but the port that had the hard drive connected to it, after noticing this I tried several cables, none of them working. SO after looking online in appeared that formatting the hard drive while setting up windows was the way to go, however when I start the start up for windows it asks me to choose where to install windows an option appears for a disc 0 with 128GB of space, not sure what this is but when clicked on it tells me that it is unable to create a system partition. WHen I go into the advanced options it does not give me the option to delete, format or extend the disk, don't know what else to do

Nope just a 1TB HDD, Have no idea where the 128GB drive is coming from and produces an error when I try to install windows on it
