Hi,

I am relatively new to building my own pc. I would like to build a home office pc, with the ability to add a graphic card in the future. Preferably AMD processor since they are cheaper.

The primary purpose of the pc is to use it for office work, some internet browsing and light photo editing using photoshop. I have a mouse, keyboard and monitor from previous builds. The budget for the build is 400 $

Any suggestions are welcome.

Intel is better choice in the long run, especially if you want to add a gfx card in the future. Does this help? Also if you have your own operating system, its easy for you to get that on the new PC. My price are from Canada, it will definitely be a lot less expensive in the US, and you may even pick better quality parts.

It look pretty good for that price. 400 dollars for an i5 build is a good deal. Motherboard is not a major concern for you, because you are not going to overclock. PSU is a hit or miss, I bought some inexpensive low quality PSU and it never gave me problems. Thermaltake PSU are decent, should not give you problems. Once again, cost=quality.
