Okay, as of yesterday, I built my first computer with the following parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Demonsword/saved/DxVD4D
But my problem lies with in the mobo, I installed all the drivers from the disc it came with, and it installed the ethernet part, good yes, but heres where it's ends, I have a cord i've used for 5+ years for internet that works with my old computer, but this new one it doesn't detect. Then I hooked a Power Line (semi wireless connection) ethernet adapter, it detected that, but no signal (then a restart of internet, all power lines we have stopped getting a signal..).... And I put in my wireless adapter (usb Belkin.. unsure of it's specifications) and it catches a signal, but no actual internet is coming through. Any help would be great, I built this for sole purpose of gaming.

Sadly on the cable thing, it's reaching from one end of the house to another, ~100ft of it.. Dont have that. :|
But I'll try that tomorrow, along with bringing the system near the router/modem and attempt something. I'll let you know if anything changes.

My OS is Win 7 Ultimate x64.

So new cord is indeed the solution, have to order a 100ft one.
I did my test with the comp next to the router with a new cord, it worked, but in order to get internet to my room, we have ordered a 100ft cord. I will do the next to router but with the 100ft when it comes see if it works, if so it will mean it will go my room when set up.
-keeping this up until I've done the test. The drivers on the site were the same as on the disc, no nothing new there, but for safety, updated the motherboard.

Mk, solution picked, and the new cord works in short distance test and should work when extended, new Cat5E, which my old is just Cat5 (I just recently learned there is a difference between cords... Who-ja-thunk it?), so everything should be smooth sailing. :D
