I would like help designing a gaming pc for less than 1000 no monitor or keyboard or mouse needed os i am unsure if you can transfer it from a laptop to a desktop but if you cant that would be required as well if you could use nz.pcpartpicker.com would be helpful and give prices in nz

You need to account for tax. Also, you would need to downgrade the video card or upgrade the power supply, because a 500 watt PSU will NEVER run a GTX 970.

No, of course I'm not! With these specs, you would require at least a 750 watt power supply. At 500 watts, the computer would probably crash seconds after starting.

It's best to be safe. Anyways, I would recommend changing the GPU to a GTX 660ti or the PSU to something like a Corsair HXi750. 500 watts ain't never gonna run a 970.
