Hi I am building my first pc and I got my PSU over the mail it is EVGA supernova 2 850w and it came with some cables I don't really understand where to install them

So I got:
A cable called CPU which I'm guessing goes on ATX_12V sonce it's 4x4 pin BUT on the box it says ESPS12v so I'm a bit confused…

Another one I got is MB which I know where it goes since its a 24 pin

I got VGA which its for the GPU right? I got 2 kinds of these one with 6+2, and complete 6 and the other has 6+2, complete 6 and another 6 pin on that single vga.

I got SATA for optical drive and Harddrive right?

I got one called PERIF which I don't really know where it goes… it has four 4 large pins (4 of them) and 6 pins but not 4 have actual pins the 2 are just black

And I got 2 adapters one seems to fit on the PERIF perfectly since its just 4 large pins

The other adapter is weird it has 24 pins I'm guessing for the MB cable and it has like a circle in 2 holes so it looks like a ring

These are my specs

1 x 24 Pin ATX.......... you know this one
2 x 4+4 Pin EPS12V...........2 of these come with it you only need one 4+4 for Cpu power
4 x 6+2 Pin PCI-E...............Graphic cards
2 x 6 Pin PCI-E..........Graphic cards
10 x SATA..........Optical , HDD , SSD etc.
4 x Molex.....Fans possibly other misc. devices
1 x Floppy....Hardly used anymore.

Honestly, if it fits or the cord specifically is marked CPU it will work. I have made multiple machines and never had a problem with this strategy.

I know this sounds like bad advice but it works like a charm

lol I guess you're right... As long as all cables are different I'll probably use your method

Woot! I think I know where everything goes now. Thank you so much Blackbird, Sorry I'm asking so many questions I'm just very excited. I have one more, I've heard people say that I should put the gel silicon bag (the one that says do not eat throw away) inside the case to prevent something I don't really remember what it did but I was wondering if it was a good idea?
