When installing Windows 8.1, motherboard drivers do not appear in the "Load Driver" section.

I have just built my first computer, and, after much troubleshooting, realized the reason the Seagate 1tb hard drive is not registering in the places to install Windows section of installation is because the motherboard drivers need to be installed. I put the Windows 8.1 disk in one optical drive, and the drivers in another. When I go to the "Load Driver" screen, the MSI motherboard drivers do not appear. When I went into "Browse", the cd drive was indeed registered, with the folders for everything appearing. Problem is, I'm missing some files that appeared when I put the drivers in my other computer to try to transfer to a usb (Gave up on that). The only files that appear in the CD are folders, and the things in those folders. I cannot see files such as "Autorun.inf" and more that are actually seen when hooked up to my other computer.

Thanks in advance.

The problem is, currently the hard drive won't register on this computer. I was thinking it could potentially be the drivers, as I plugged the drive into another computer and it worked fine.

No, the drive should be seen in the BIOS. Long before OS or driver install.
If not, there are other issues.

Any idea what it could possibly be? I've checked by putting the SATA cable in all of the motherboard ports, and it still didn't register in the BIOS. It's an MSI z97 PC-Mate, if that matters. Could the ports on the motherboard be faulty?
