Hi people. I would like to upgrade my RAM. The problem is, i have a PHANTEKS-PH-TC14PE installed as the aircooling solution. currently i have a 2v4gb corsair vengeance 1600 ram but it is installed in the last 3rd and 4th DIMM slots because it can't fit under the 1st dimm due to the heatsink of the cooler. I want to get a 2v8gb G. SKills Sniper(not a necessity brand) ram but is it possible to install it without removing the cooler or do i REALLY NEED to remove it to place it in the 1 and 3 DIMM slots?
Also, i have noticed that G. skills have 2 kinds of 2v8gb sniper. a 1866 and a 2400 mhz version. Why is the 2400 mhz version more expensive although having a different timing compared to the 1866? Whats the difference? Which is better?
Also, if you have any suggestions for a different set of ram, i'm all ears! Thank you!

They have a wide range of Snipers from 1333 through 2400, generally the higher the freq the higher the price, though it can vary depending on timings and availability. What CPU and mobo? You are currently prob running in single channel mode if in 3-4, could try in 2-4 rather than 1-3 for dual channel

yeah single channel. i cant place the corsair vengeance due to the height of its heatsink and also of the phantek's. that is also one of the reason why im switching to RAM sets so i can place it in dual channel and well, have like a gazillion google chrome tabs like i always do. but again, what is the better of the bunch? what should i consider first, timing or frequency? as to the link i provided? 1866 with Timing 9-10-9-28 or 2400 Timing 11-13-13-31? The 2400 is $10 more compared to the 1866. So what do you think?
