Made mistake wiped recovery. Anyway you make a new one?.

Well as the titled says, I thought that the 2nd HDD in my system was just a partition of the main C drive but it had all my recovery from Alienware on it. I e-mailed them and they said there is no way to recover it. So now I have a clean 250GB separate drive.

So my question is, is there anyway I can use Windows or some tool to create a recovery on this other drive so I can at least recover Windows and boot from the drive if main C drive ever fails?. My laptop is an Alienware 18 and has no optical drive.

You can create a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 8 on it. http://lifehacker.com/how-to-create-a-windows-8-installation-dvd-or-usb-drive-505769939

I purchased six 16GB flash drives from Best Buy recently - they were on sale for $8 each - and put Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 on them....I also have the drivers for all machines on them. It is a lot quicker to install from USB as compared to DVD.

The bootable flash drive will allow you to install Windows on the laptop. You can create it from any computer, then boot from the USB stick and install Windows on your laptop.

I'm afraid I will loose a Flash Drive that's why I was hoping I could do something with this other drive. If my main drive fails I should be able to go into the bios and tell it to boot from the other drive correct?. If so would it be possible to make a image of windows on this 2nd drive to boot from?.

If you lose the flash drive, buy another one, and download the Windows OS again.
