I'm looking forward at my next build, where I will be doing things I have not done in previous builds. One of those is a multi-GPU setup (which will be new for me unless you count an x2 card I had a while ago), and the other is liquid cooling. I have a few questions regarding LC, but I have a while until I build and this is the current burner for me.
I've seen the basic data that says "high RPM fan louder and do more cooling." (Basically what anyone with a basic understanding of cost effectiveness can figure out.) However, what is the actual performance difference for high RPM fans vs. low RPM fans?
Is there a significant difference in possible benchmarks?
Will they have any noticeable boost to gaming performance (or the possibility of upping the settings/resolution and not taking a hit in performance)?
How loud are the loudest fans, and do they easily fade into the background?
What is the difference between adding an extra radiator with low speed fans vs. going to high speed fans? (i.e. what would be the difference between a 360mm radiator with fans at 2000 RPM and 2x360mm radiators with fans at 800 RPM)?
I have not seen these questions answered, but I will be the first to admit I am absolutely terrible at research.
