No Hardware, Software or Driver Changes.
This morning when I went to power on my PC I pressed the button, 3-5 seconds later the fans on my R9 290 went to 100% and stayed that way until the Windows Welcome screen.
This is the first time this has happened and I've had this PC for a week.
I've rebooted the system a few times (both Reboot and Shutdown/Power On) and the fans did not go to 100% anymore.
I know Full Fans on boot is normal on some graphics cards, but is there any particular reason why it would start doing so out of the blue, as a one time thing?
The only thing I can think of that I did yesterday was turn on Virtual Super Resolution in the AMD Omega Drivers, but I've tried disabling it, enabling it and rebooting the system some more and could not reproduce the phenomenon.
My GPU Temps seem to be normal:
38*C Idle (My room is a bit on the toasty side)
76*C in Furmark
I have MSI Afterburner installed but only for monitoring purposes, no settings have been touched.
AMD Overdrive is disabled.
Any thoughts would be very appreciated!
