Hello,
I just bought a MSI ge70, and installed a msata (ssd) hard drive. I installed then windows7 (oem) on the msata, and all went fine.. but then the other drive for storage had freedos on it, so i couldn't format the drive on windows. That's when i used gparted, and i did a partition on this storage drive; but then when i reboot, the pc won't boot anymore on windows which is on the msata.
I checked in the bios the boot order (i think everything is fine; i even put the msata as primary in boot order); then i put again the windows cd to see if there's still something on the msata: it appears i still have the os has a bit more than 20Go is occupied on this disc.
But the pc still won't boot on windows!
if someone could help me, or send me an idea where i could find info to solve this, that would be really nice!
thanks
p.s: the drive for storage was "system" on windows before i format it: could this be a problem for the pc to boot?
windows7 i have is oem, can i install it again?

Solution
Yes, if you format a partition with Windows system files on it it won't boot.

You can try to run a Repair setup of Windows, that may fix things without doing a full setup.

Thanks for the answer!
actually, i re installed windows on the ssd, and as i had previously done the partitions with gparted on the other hard disk, it worked fine this time (the hard disk was not a "system disk" anymore once the partition, and format was done.
Would have saved me time if i had knew that before, and used gparted before installing windows...
