Newly built machine turns on for a minute, flashes off, and then comes back on

Last night, I finished building my first machine. However, when I tried to boot it up, it would turn on for about a full minute, turn off for a split second, and then turn itself on again. It would keep repeating the same thing until I powered it off. I'm pretty sure I have everything connected to the right place. My specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: CoolerMaster Elite v2 550W PSU

I'm pretty lost as to what could be causing this, did I not pick a powerful enough PSU? Could something be faulty?

Something to note, the display wasn't coming up, either. I had it with an hdmi hooked up to a TV due to no available monitors at the time, if that has anything to do with it.

Solution
If i were you, i would assemble everything outside the case and install one at a time. This way it will be easier to troubleshoot new built system. Turning on and off is usually a memory seated issue.

Alright, I'll try doing that. It'll probably have to wait until later, unfortunately. Thank you. I'll first try taking out one of the memory sticks when I have access to a monitor I can actually connect it to.
