Has anyone encountered the same situation before and has fixed it? It suddenly stopped working. it has never been dropped or anything as I always keep it safe on a table. And I can't get a replacement since I bought it on a different country. any help is appreciated thanks

The problem may be some sort of a connection problem, or a hard drive failure.
If you need to recover data from the hard drive, you may be able to use a different usb connected enclosure to hold the hard drive.
That assumes that the hard drive is good which it likely is.
