i touch my cpu's fan thermal paste

lol let me say this before i go into it I AM A NOOB when it comes to building computers. i wanted to look at the fan and by accident i touched the pre thermal paste stuff what should i do. does this mean i have to get a different fan or buy some thermal paste myself? thanks

Ok, so I need a few more details.

Are you installing a new heatsink/fan? If so, and you just slightly touched it and didn't spread it around much, it should be fine.

Did you just remove the heatsink/fan off the CPU to look at it? If so, I recommend replacing the paste. It isn't hard to do. Just clean it gently off the CPU and heatsink and re apply. Follow these steps:

wow thanks guys for the fast response :) i think its all good i washed the stuff off and i just barely touched the stuff and i was just looking at the cpu before i get it installed thanks
