Getting debug code E0/03 (not sure which orientation is correct) on the LED on my motherboard when trying to POST. According to the manual this indicates "Power On North Bridge Initialization".
I have already tried:
So A) Is this code possibly indicative of my motherboard still needing a BIOS update to work with the CPU? and B) If not, then what else could be causing my system not to post?
I have already tried:
-
-Using integrated graphics
-Reseating both RAM sticks in every different slot, 1 by 1
-Double checking all power connectors
Your motherboard was manufacturer 03/2014 and your processors been supported since BIOS v1.2 which came out 02/2014 so it's you may have an outdated BIOS, unfortunately if the system doesn't POST there's no way to update the BIOS, you require a POST to proceed with the update, for this the only option is to either obtain a processor which has been supported from the initial BIOS release that came out or send the motherboard us so we may update the BIOS for you. Below is our CPU support list and next to each listing you'll find the corresponding BIOS is has been supported from. http://www.msi.com/support/mb/Z87M-GAMING.html#support_support
