Urgent help with my problem, since the day i got my whole pc, i have been having problems with my internal hard drive... it is sometimes detected, and sometimes not... usually i need to turn off/on the pc 10 times so that the hard drive works...
i tried switching sata cables 3 and 6, i tried different power connectors, different motherboard ports, the problem didn't stop. after further inspection, i found out that the hard drive is not turning on... i have an i7 cpu 4790k, msi gtx 970, 550w power supply from thermaltake, 8 Gb of ram. what could be causing this problem ? insufficient psu ? it is not from bios setup, bcz the hard drive is not turning on most of the times... and note that i have tried plugging the dvd writer in the sata which all worked fine... so mostly power related...

Solution
There isn't anything you can do to fix it. If you don't have any data on there i would just send it in. It is most likely an issue with the hard drive it self.
Sounds like an issue with the hard drive to me. Would either be a Power issue or Hard Drive issue. I know some hard drives Won't spin up unless it detects a data connection so it could also be the data connection.

If you have a SATA DVD Drive, and its being seen in the BIOS, use the port and cable from that and try that.
