if that system still runs DDR2 i wouldnt bother with it tbh because if your gonna put a newer graphics card in then there will be some bottle necking going on

he's buying it, not selling it. don't bother just build your own from scratch. you don't want second hand electronics, especially not ones so old (and used). you can do a lot better. if you give us your total budget, we can suggest a new build for you.

I would think 200 at most with those used out of date parts a 5770 and ddr2 ram and whether or not the storage is SSD or HDD make a big difference.

What kind of fps would i be getting for the games i play in high settings? like battlefield, farcry, gta, needs for speed., COD, etc.

well, you said you wanted to play combat arms at max settings. those games listed (and i assume you mean the latest release from each title ie: bf4, fc4,gta v, cod:aw, etc), are much more demanding. you would be able to play them, but probably only at medium settings with a playable frame rate. drop another $200 and you'd be able to play on ultra. also, what resolution are you playing on?

1366 x 768 for combat arms...im mainly focusing on combat arms, but it would be nice to play any of those games in lowest setting, i dont mind.

thats a pretty low res, you'll be fine. you won't be able to max the settings or anything, but you should be able to at least play new titles... combat arms is a given, youll max that.

I want to use this computer as a base, and work of it for like the next 3 to 4 years....also, instead of buying an operating system would i be able to torrent it???
