Hi
I built my first gaming PC, everything went fine, but when I went to turn it on for test boot, the fuse in PSU blew (spark in PSU occured) and my house fuse also blew . Was wondering if the montherboard/graphics card/SSD/Processor will be ok? Should I buy another PSU if so which one?

I spent around £1000 on this build and would be really disappointed if all the parts were damaged/broken.

All advice appreciated =).

Double check your front panel connections. I have read of people getting USB and FIREWIRE connections on the motherboard mixed up. That causes a short.

You are going to have to get a flashlight and search for something metal where it doesn't belong. A screw or something. There is a short somewhere and I don't have anymore help... Sorry.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

How would I go about determining what went wrong (I have no clue im a total beginner in building pcs) ? All the standoffs were in the correct position, everything in the installation went as planned, as I used the manuals that came with the parts along with a NewEgg guide. When I turned the power on I just saw a brief spark and then nothing happened. All the components are in the same brand new condition.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really want to get my system up and running!
