ATX 12v 2x2 socket to 2x4 psu connector

Hi, I just bought a new PSU. It turn out my mobo has only a 2x2 or 4 pin 12v plug, but my psu comes with only 2x3 and 2x4 connectors. Is it safe to use either one in the 2x2 plug?

Should have a 4+4 pin that you can split.

I contacted the online seller. It does split, I just didn't see how. Sorry, this is my first time running into this kind of situation. Thank you both for your replies!!
