Hi!
Had some trouble with my windows 7 installation since i plugged in my new video card so i thought i'd give it a fresh instal. While i die that might aswell get an ssd. So i did and i turned the pc off put my windows disk in the machine plugged the ssd in and turned the pc on again. It booted nicely from the disk and i installed it no problem. But when i got past the installation my old 2th HDD(which was still plugged in aswell) was nowhere to be found.. I checked disk manager and the bios. But it just doesnt see it at all. I guess my ood windows is still on there but i just want it wiped clean and use it as storage for all kinds of stuff.. What can i do to fix this??

Thnx in advance!

Check your hdd! It may be faulty even if it pretty new!!!!!!!!!
Try to disconnect( even just the sata power to the ssd) and power the pc just with the hd,see if its do the vibrations and moves,if no,check it with another psu or get an molex to sata power adapter, and check it with that.. Etc.
If you're hd have an os on it,see if it loads, and when u plug just the hdd,see if it shows there

*Ucan try before all,to reset the bios even from the bios mene,i guess that's is the f9 key to load defaults.. See if something new,,, after the reset, try to change every time at bios..go to sata mode and try to boot at;ide, ahci and raid sata modes!!...
And reseat all the sata cables between the ssd n the hd drives at the both cable sides...
Let us...
Although you apparently don't realise it, Windows Setup should have given you a dual-boot menu after you installed Windows on the SSD (because you didn't disconnect the original HDD like you should have if you don't want to dual-boot).

Since Windows Setup did not give you a dual-boot menu, it evidently did not detect the original HDD even before you started installing Windows on the SSD.

Check that neither of two HDD cables have become disconnected (check the SATA cable at both ends). No need to check the power cable at both ends unless the PSU is a modular one.

Ahh forgot to say!
U can try tools like partition magic and resize/format/create partition.. That supposed to delete your files on the hd but if the hd itself work it can ready it for use!that may help u!
