I have been going back and fourth between corsair 1x8 gb 1.6ghz cl9 or hyperx fury 1x8 gb 1.866ghz cl10 which is better?

If you want 8gb of ram, buy a 2 stick( 2 x 4gb )kit so you can run in the faster dual channel mode.
Past that. ram speed/timings makes very little difference in app speed or fps. At least on haswell cpus.

In theory the 1866 MHz Fury is slightly faster than the 1600 MHz Corsair.
As mentioned above, to maximize memory bandwidth, it would be preferable to use 2 x 4 GB DIMM's in dual channel mode rather than use 1 x 8 GB DIMM in single channel mode.
